?Patients with SMI had low knowledge about COVID-19 in form of only around one-fourth of patient aware of three or more symptoms and precautions regarding COVID-19.?Three fourth of patients with SMI did not report any worries of contracting COVID-19.?Among patients with SMI, patients from lower socioeconomic status, low literacy levels, with low social support were found to have low knowledge on COVID-19.?One out of five patients stopped psychiatric medications, with thirty percent patient, showed worsening of psychiatric symptoms during COVID-19 lockdown.
