Next, a cohort of 100 gastric cancer tissues and matched normal tissues were enrolled. Kaplan?Meier and multivariate Cox survival analyses were applied to evaluate the prognostic value of miR-9-3p expression, and the result showed that patients with lower miR-9-3p expression level have significantly poorer overall survival. The expression level of miR-9-3p has been proved to be an independent prognostic factor for 5-year overall survival. Furthermore, the result indicated that over-expression of miR-9-3p can inhibit gastric cancer cell invasion. Taken together, our results suggested that miR-9-3p plays important role in tumor invasion, and these findings implicated the potential effects of miR-9-3p on prognosis of gastric cancer.
