The overall AGE episode rate in the physician office care setting declined by 15% during the study period; whereas the AGE episode rate remained stable in the inpatient care setting. AGE-related total costs (inflation-adjusted) per 100?000 plan members increased by 28% during the 2010?2011 season, compared with the 2006?2007 season ($832,849 vs. $1?068?116) primarily due to increase in AGE-related inpatient costs.
