The spectrum of parenchymal findings seen in mycobacterial disease as well as the chronic changes of prior tuberculosis are illustrated. Altered appearances of tuberculosis occurring in patients with preexisting chest diseases such as sarcoidosis and silicosis and those associated with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome are demonstrated. CT and conventional radiography are compared, and the advantages and complementary nature of CT are illustrated.
