Wnt signalling via the epidermal growth factor receptor: a role in breast cancer?Musgrove EABreast Cancer Res 2004[]; 6 (2): 65-8Recent data have suggested the epidermal-growth-factor receptor (EGFR) as a point of convergence for several different classes of receptor. Civenni and colleagues have now demonstrated crosstalk between Wnt signalling and the EGFR, showing that in breast epithelial cells Wnts activate downstream targets of the EGFR, including cyclin D1.
